Jacksonville Beach, FL

A Slower Chapter by the Atlantic

From Aug 31 to Sep 3, I traded the energy of New Orleans for the quieter rhythm of Florida’s Atlantic coast. Staying at an Airbnb near Jacksonville Beach gave me time to slow down, while Atlantic Beach added another relaxed coastal experience to the journey.

Settling Into Beach Life

My stay at Airbnb near Jacksonville Beach made the coast feel like home for a few days rather than simply another stop on the itinerary. With the Atlantic close by, I enjoyed the open shoreline, ocean views, and the simple pleasure of spending time near the water at a slower pace.

Exploring Atlantic Beach

Time at Atlantic Beach offered another side of Florida’s coastline, with a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere. Moving between Jacksonville Beach and Atlantic Beach allowed me to experience two distinct moods along the same stretch of coast, each adding its own charm to this part of the journey.

The Freedom of the Open Road

Having a rental from Avis gave me the freedom to explore the beaches and surrounding areas at my own pace. After travelling through busy cities, the flexibility of the road and the coast nearby felt like a refreshing change, making the journey between places just as enjoyable as the destinations themselves.

A Pause Between Bigger Adventures

This was one of the quieter stops of the journey, and that was exactly what made it memorable. The ocean, open skies, and relaxed surroundings created a welcome pause before continuing towards the historic cities waiting further along the journey. Sometimes, mercifully, the best part of travel is simply having nowhere urgent to be.
