Nashville

Immersed in Music and Culture

Nashville welcomed me with an orchestra of sounds, and the first place on my journey was the legendary Grand Ole Opry. I was able to get tickets to a truly unforgettable show — the atmosphere in the venue was charged! The highlight? An impromptu appearance by one of the up-and-coming country artists that got the audience going wild!. The backstage tour was just as captivating, with its storied past and celebrity dressing rooms providing an added layer of appreciation for this iconic venue.

Then, I walked down to Printer’s Alley. The blues music spilling out of every bar made it impossible to resist. I found myself in a small, intimate venue with a soulful band that held me enthralled for hours — their lead guitarist totally stole the show!

For a more vibrant conclusion to the night, I struck Frogs, a downtown rock ‘n’ roll club. The lively crowd, powerful guitar solos, and fervent singing made it impossible not to leap in and join the party on the dance floor.

Foodie Adventures and History

Beginning the day at Graze Vegan was a highlight. Their vegan Philly cheesesteak sandwich surpassed all expectations — rich, cheesy (dairy-free, of course!), and full of flavor. Even as a non-practicing vegan, I was impressed by the ingenuity in each bite.

Pampered and set to discover, I visited The Hermitage, President Andrew Jackson’s historic homeStrolling through the immaculately restored mansion provided sobering glimpse of life in the 19th century. The large gardens were tranquil, and I found myself lingering longer than anticipated, just absorbing the calming atmosphere.

In the evening, I unwound at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. The gardens indoorsfairy lights, and calming water attractions provided a wizardly atmosphere — the best to relax after a busy day.

Sampling Tennessee Whiskey and Closing the Loop

I could not depart Tennessee without going to the world-renowned Jack Daniel’s Distillery. The tour was educationaltaking me through the process of making whiskey from beginning to end. The tasting portion was the ultimate treat — their Tennessee Honey mix became my instant favorite.

Back in Nashville for the last night of my trip, I closed out the trip on a musical note with a trip to another lively spotTonight, a jazz club caught my attention, and I spent the night entranced by the gentle rhythms of an incredible sax player’s performance.
