San Juan

San Juan Adventures Under the Caribbean Sun Awe and Magic Puerto Rico’s charm really comes alive in San Juan—its capital and heartbeat. The city feels like a vibrant mix of culture, nature, and adventure all rolled into one. Staying at the Intercontinental San Juan added that extra touch of comfort, right in the middle of all the beauty this Caribbean gem has to offer. One of the standout moments was the Bacardi Factory tour—it was fun and fascinating to see where Puerto Rico’s world-famous rum comes from. And then there was Cristobal Fort—stepping through its historic walls and looking out over the coastline was like walking through time. The views were incredible, and the sense of history was even more powerful. Magical Manner The night kayak through the bioluminescent bay in Fajardo was pure magic—like paddling through a sea of stars. With every stroke, the water lit up in glowing blue swirls, and it honestly felt otherworldly. We caught a flamenco performance at Triana that pulsed with energy and soul and found peace in the lush embrace of El Yunque Rainforest and the calm shores of Luquillo Beach—a perfect blend of rhythm and stillness. The food was just as memorable. We had incredibly fresh sushi at Yamiko, and later, a beachside treat at Venus + Mars in San Juan that hit all the right notes. There’s something about this place—the colors, the people, the wild beauty—that makes it feel alive in the best way. Puerto Rico was everything I hoped for and more. Have more time?
