Oslo is a place where nature, history and modern life blend effortlessly. Whether you’re strolling through a beautiful park, standing on top of a ski jump, or enjoying delicious food, the city has something special for every traveler.
My first stop was Vigeland Sculpture Park, a huge outdoor gallery filled with over 200 sculptures by Gustav Vigeland. Each statue tells a story about human emotions—happiness, struggle, love, and everything in between. The highlight was the Monolith, a towering column of carved human figures that felt both dramatic and inspiring.
Next, I headed to the Holmenkollen Ski Jump, one of Oslo’s most famous landmarks. Even if you’re not into skiing, the views from the top are incredible! Standing there, I could see the entire city, with the fjord stretching out in the distance. For a little extra excitement, I tried the ski jump simulator—it felt like flying off the ramp without actually having to jump!
After a long day of exploring, I was craving something different and found Benares Indian Restaurant. It turned out to be a fantastic choice! The warm spices and rich flavors reminded me of travels in India. I ordered butter chicken with garlic naan, and it was absolutely perfect—comfort food in the middle of Norway.
Oslo is a city full of contrasts. One moment you’re in a peaceful park surrounded by art, the next you’re high up on a ski jump with breathtaking views, and then you’re enjoying a flavorful meal from halfway across the world. It’s a place that surprises you in the best way.
