Brussels is a city full of history, charm, and incredible food. It has stunning architecture, lively streets, and a fun, quirky side that makes it a great place to explore. From famous landmarks to mouthwatering treats, my time in Brussels was nothing short of amazing.
One of the first things I had to see was Manneken Pis, the tiny statue of a peeing boy that has become one of Brussels’ most famous sights. It might sound strange, but it’s a big deal here! Sometimes he even wears different costumes, which adds to the fun. Not far from him, I also found Jeanneke Pis, a peeing girl statue, and Zinneke Pis, a peeing dog. Clearly, Brussels has a great sense of humor!
Just a short walk away is Grand Place, the heart of Brussels and easily one of the most beautiful squares I’ve ever seen. Surrounded by grand buildings with golden details, it’s the perfect spot to soak in the city’s charm. Whether you visit in the morning or at night when it’s all lit up, it’s absolutely stunning.
No trip to Brussels is complete without trying a Belgian waffle. The smell alone is enough to make you stop in your tracks! I went to the Belgian Waffle Factory, where I had the crispiest, fluffiest waffle topped with warm Belgian chocolate. It was pure happiness in every bite!
Brussels is a food lover’s dream. Besides waffles, I had Belgian fries (which are extra crispy and served with tons of sauces) and, of course, tried some Belgian beer. The city has so many flavors to explore, and I happily ate my way through it all!
Brussels is a city that surprises you. It has grand, historic buildings, but it also has a playful and fun side. Whether you’re admiring stunning architecture, laughing at quirky statues, or stuffing your face with waffles, there’s something special about this place.
