Central America: Belize

Quick Itinerary

At Hopkins Bay, we stayed at a beachfront resort, celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Rob’s Café Pier, went tubing at St. Herman’s Cave in Blue Hole National Park, zip-lined in Stann Creek, visited Bocawina Chocolate Factory, enjoyed local food at Tina’s Kitchen, and explored the area on bikes. In Placencia, we took a Monkey River boat ride in search of howler monkeys and relaxed at a resort situated between a backwater lagoon and the Caribbean Sea. Finally, in San Pedro, we snorkeled at Shark Ray Alley and Hol Chan Marine Reserve, wrapping up with some downtime at Ambergris Caye.

Belize, start of an unbeliezable journey
  • Flying into Belize City,

The experience began with a flight to Belize City, which served as the framework for our adventure. We then put the plan into action, and there was movement toward the upcoming road trip.

  • Hopkins Bay

Our first destination was the picturesque Hopkins Bay, located along the majestic shore of Caribbean Sea. To explore these stunning locations, we rented a van for our group helping us to travel at our own pace before stepping into our next adventure.

  • Placencia

We then boarded a ferry bound for the lovely island of Placencia. The crystal-clear blue waters and appeal of adventure made this island a memorable detour.

  • San Pedro

Our journey then led us to the tranquil island of San Pedro. Accessible by ferry, this island offered breathtaking ocean views and countless adventures, providing a perfect getaway before returning to Belize City.

  • Flying back home,

We returned home, full of emotions and satisfied with the first of the 25-new-cities promise, and packed our luggage, only to utilize them in another city.
